Welcome!

News about shook swarm ... we expect to undertake this on 29th March starting at noon at the Stockdove Way Apiary, weather permitting ....

Introduction to Beekeepers course next session at the Stockdove Way Apiary, 6th April, 2pm. weather permitting

ann and JamieWe are a small friendly association who meet on a regular basis - in the spring summer and autumn, at our Apiary at the junction of Stockdove Way and Argyle Road, in Perivale, Middx..

In the Spring, Summer and Autumn, our meetings are most Saturday Afternoons, at 2:00 pm till about 5pm. The apiary site is very basic and without amenities (there are no toilets!). for 2007 / 2008 we are meeting once a month in the Litton Local Nature Reserve, see the events page for information.

In the beekeeping season, and weather permitting we will open a hive at the apiary to show visitors the goings on inside. Recommended wear includes long trousers and a long sleeved shirt . Wear shoes and socks in preference to sandals, but wellies are best. Bring some rubber gloves, if you can, to protect hands and fingers from stings. We will lend you a bee keeper's veil to protect you when you go to the hives.

Thanks to community grant assistance from British Airports Authority, we have an observation hive in a beeproof enclousre; we can arrange to take groups of up to about 12 people to show them the observation, from the safety of this enclosure. If you would like to organise such a visit, then please email, but note this is only available in the season, about April to the end of October, and MUST be prebooked!

If you are planning to visit us, please make contact or  check our program
