Putting Bees on Allotments

June Newsletter (628kb)

membership form 2008

Bees are valuable pollinators of crops such as fruit and vegetables - if it has a flower it needs pollination, and bees will do the job; they are therefore very valuable on allotments as the bees will help to ensure good pollination of the crops. Information about the location and availability of allotments is probably available from your local council, although there are other organisations who have allotments available to rent (in Ealing, the Ealing Consolidated Charities, amongst others).

We have negotiated arrangements with Ealing Council for the placing of bees on allotments, and a document is available here, giving information and advice. Use your browser back button to return. If you need Acrobat Reader, you can download it by clicking here.
