Sites Wanted

Newsletter Oct. 2009

Newsletter, November 2009

We’re always on the look out for suitable sites for apiaries. This could be a moderately sized garden, an allotment, a patch of waste ground, or similar.

It does not need to be particularly large - just sufficient for a hive or two, with reasonable access, a source of water fairly close by, and a bit out of the way.

If you can offer of a site, then please contact us with its location and we’ll be in touch to see if its suitable, and discuss terms.

We have a draft licence that you could use.

We have members spread across West London, so may have an enthusiast quite close who would be pleased to know of a potential site.

Benefits include improved pollination of crops if you are on an allotment, and of course some honey - the traditional rent is a 1lb (454 gram) jar of honey delivered on Michaelmas Day (Sept. 29th).
